www.14ers.com
This one of my favorite hiking sites. There is a wealth of information about all of the 56 mountains that are above 14,000 feet in Colorado. Plenty of photos, maps & stuff and a really good forum to meet other hikers and plan trips.
www.fourteenerworld.com
Another site about the Colorado fourteeners, but also many links to other hiking/outdoor sites.
Weminuche Wilderness
This is someones personal record of a thru hike in the San Juan mountains. It contains some really good photos and also the trail info for the hike.
www.Backpacker.com
Plenty of useful information about gear, hikes, news and alomst anything else related to backpacking. I've learned a lot of stuff by reading Backpacker magazine and their web site.
The Colorado Trail
The official site for the Colorado Trail Foundation. The Colorado Trail is one trail that is over 400 miles long. It starts in Durango just outside of town and ends in Denver.
Campmor
I'm a gear junky, and this site helps me get most of my gear. They have very good deals almost daily and plenty of selection for all ages.
The North Face
I believe that I am a walking North Face advertisement when I go hiking! I love their gear and their site is cool too!
www.offroute.com
This is one of the best online resources for topographical maps that I've found so far. I purchased my copy of the TOPO software by National Geographic through offroute.
Osprey Packs
I've heard from other people that these packs are really comfortable. I don't own one yet, but I might buy one in the future. One thing that I like about this company is that their headquarters is about 70 miles away from where I live.
California Geographical Survey
There are soom really cool topographic relief maps on this site. I don't know if they would be detailed enough for any big use, but they look cool.
